Dr. Dawley grew up in New Hampshire but has lived all over the country earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of Oklahoma and his master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. He then worked as a high school teacher in both New Hampshire and Florida before deciding to pursue his dental degree from the University of Florida where he served as class president for all four years and graduated with honors. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY where he completed his medical school at SUNY Downstate and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Kings County Hospital Center. He completed a year of general surgery training and was awarded the specialty resident of the year award from SUNY Downstate and served as Chief Oral Surgery Resident at Kings County Hospital during his final year of training.
Dr. Dawley has a passion for teaching having worked as a high school teacher and he continues to teach at Rutgers University College of Dentistry. He uses this experience as a teacher to educate his patients about their oral health and helps them to make informed decisions about which treatment is right for them. From extractions and implants to advanced jaw and trauma surgeries, Dr. Dawley enjoys all aspects of oral surgery.
When he is not at Legacy Oral Surgery, Dr. Dawley enjoys cooking, watching all kinds of sports especially football, and spending time with his two cats.
