Surgical Care Instructions

Feeling ready before your procedure and knowing what to do afterward makes a meaningful difference in your comfort and healing. Our pre-surgical care guidance covers how to prepare in the days leading up to your appointment, what to expect on the day of surgery, and how to arrange transportation if sedation or general anesthesia is planned. Our post-surgical care instructions walk you through managing bleeding, swelling, and discomfort, along with dietary guidance, oral hygiene tips, and signs that indicate you should call our office. Dr. Herbst, Dr. Farkas, and Dr. Kaye want every patient at our Union City, Elizabeth, and Staten Island offices to feel informed and supported at every stage of their surgical experience.
