Office Visits

During your first visit to Legacy Oral Surgery, we will review your medical and dental history, go over your diagnosis, and discuss your treatment options in detail. Our patient resources are designed to help you feel prepared and informed before your appointment.

In some cases, surgery may be performed on the same day as the consultation. However, we recommend scheduling a separate consultation prior to the procedure for children, patients with complex medical conditions, and those who will undergo IV sedation or general anesthesia.

Please bring the following items to your first appointment to help us provide the most thorough care possible.

  • Your referral slip (if applicable), completed health history, and registration forms downloaded from our website
  • Any X-rays from your referring dentist, including a panoramic X-ray taken within the past six months
  • A list of all medications you are currently taking, including heart medications, aspirin, and anticoagulant therapy
  • Your dental insurance card, if you are insured (see our insurance and financing page for more details)

Please arrive about ten minutes before your consultation so we can verify your information. A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 to their consultation appointment.
